Why review a protection policy you already have?

All protection
The short answer

Because your life changes. A policy arranged years ago may no longer match your mortgage, income, family or health. A review checks that you still understand your cover, can afford it, have the right amount for the right length of time, and that beneficiaries and trusts are up to date.

When to review

After a house move, marriage, separation, new child, job change, pay rise or major health change, and every few years otherwise.

What a review might find

Too little or too much cover, gaps such as no income protection, outdated beneficiaries or a policy that could be in trust.

Keeping what you have

A review is not about replacing your policy. Often the best outcome is keeping existing cover and adjusting it.
